What You Need to Have

  • A 4×4 open-bed pickup truck (full-size or mid-size)
  • A basic tool set and the mechanical ability to make repairs to your equipment
  • Basic Tools (Extension ladder, snow shovels, a roof rake, etc.)
  • General liability insurance + work comp insurance (or the ability to acquire quickly)
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Desire to work long days when demand is strong
  • A readiness & eagerness to start immediately

What the Job Involves

As an Ice Dam Removal Technician, you will:

  • Use a gas-powered steam system (provided by the company) to remove ice dams
  • Remove snow from rooftops using a shovel and/or snow rake
  • Work on roofs in active winter conditions
  • Respond quickly when called upon — this is urgent work
  • Be available for extended shifts (10–12 hours/day, up to 7 days a week during heavy winter periods) while remaining safe
  • Travel within your region for emergency calls
  • Provide safe, damage-free ice removal services to homeowners
